Kali Is Home

Today was a long day. The stomach bug whipped through the house with no mercy. Kalista made a good enough recovery that they set her free late this afternoon. We can still hear her stomach gurgle, but she looks so much better than a few days ago.

She made some new nurse friends in the Medical/Surgical Pod, but we hope that we won't have another visit for a while.

Here are a few cute pictures at the baby hotel (aka Rady Children's Hospital):

Welcome back home baby love!

  1. Glad to hear she is home... we had such a similar experience... glad everyone is on the mend!
Karsie ate like a HORSE when she came home from having the flu... it lasted a few days and then was back to normal... but she was hungry!
Her retching also went away when she was on pedialyte because it is so quickly absorbed into the stomach (within minutes) and then came back on full feeds because the proteins in her food take longer to digest.
Glad to hear she is better though!
Isn't it such a different experience at Rady's but not in the NICU?
