A Year Later

Hi everyone.

It has been a sleepy blog since time stood still and things have stayed the same (not really, just making an excuse) .

Kalista is celebrating her one year anniversary of not having to use her g-tube for any feedings or medications. That is a good sign since we may be able to take one step closer to her final closure.

Kalista started Kindergarten in September 2015, so we have been active with school projects, PTA, fundraising events and the fun things that come along with school activities. She loves school, her classmates and hee teacher, Miss H.

Lawsyn turned two in January 2016 and is talking in full sentences, enjoying trains and runs around like a wild kid. He is the definition of being ALL boy.

We found out we were expecting our third kiddo and had Kolton on March 2, 2016. He was born without any medical issues (thank goodness!). He came in weighing at 7 pounds, 4 ounces and 19.25 inches. The heaviest and tallest of all our kiddos.

That was the fastest summary of year that we've away on this blog. We can't say that we will keep up this as quickly as facebook posts, but we continue to try and keep our non-facebook family members in the loop.

We wish you well and until the next post.

Oh Boy..Catch Up Time Part 1

So we last left you in August when Lawsyn turned 7 months, September came and as you can expect Lawsyn turned 8 months and learned to pull him self up very well into standing position and cruised along furniture gracefully:

Jen and Matt celebrated their 7 year anniversary, enjoyed a beautiful dinner at the Crab Catcher in La Jolla and a gorgeous view of the sunset. Ah....

October was an actually well packed month full of events. We had guests in town. We had Halloween costumes to be completed. The kids decided to be part of the movie, FROZEN, this year.  Kalista wanted to be Elsa and Lawsyn got to be Olaf. Jen made both of their costumes this year and as you can see, did some dress fittings along the way.

Lawsyn celebrated his 9 month milestone. He was cruising along furniture even better than before.

As yes..our guests: We had Yin-Yin and Yeh-Yeh (Grandpa David and Grandma Evelyn) visit at the beginning of the month to spend time with the kiddos.

We enjoyed our annual fall trip to the Bates Nut Farm to see the amazing pumpkin patch and animals.  Kalista enjoyed feeding the goats and piggies. She even got her face painted. Lawsyn was shocked to see pumpkins bigger than him.

Oh my!  We have plenty more October events including a magical wedding, but need to start a new blog post to fit it all in.

TO BE CONTINUED....

Memorial Day Getaway

We traveled out of town to Orange County this past weekend for a day in the sun. Lawsyn went swimming for the first time and even went underwater.  Kali splashed around but hated getting her hair and face wet. Needless to say, Matt dunked her before she got out of the pool.

We also couldn't leave without a trip to Downtown Disney. We finally convinced ourselves to have the kids sit for their caricature portraits. It ended up being really cute.  Lawsyn was Buzz Lightyear and Kali was Queen Elsa from Frozen. Kali got a blue Elsa shirt and refuses to remove it.

Mother's Day Surprise

Kalista and Lawsyn made the cutest gifts at daycare for Jen to celebrate Mother's Day.

We had Mother's Day brunch at a restaurant calles "The Mission" in North Park since their food is so delicious and vegetarian conscious. The wait time for a table is always about an hour, but well worth it.

We also spent the day at a Padres game. The weather was beautiful.  It was Lawsyn's first time to a sporting event.
